Alberto Acosta es el nuevo Ministro de Energía de Ecuador. Economista de profesión, siempre estuvo vinculado a la izquierda, a la actividad académica y a los movimientos sociales. Es autor de varios libros, artículos periodísticos e investigaciones sobre deuda externa, dolarización, explotación petrolera, integración energética y su última pasión: la emigración. Es miembro del Buró Político de Alianza PAIS.

Alberto Acosta is the new minister of energy of Ecuador. Economist by profession, he has always been linked with the left, with academia, and with the Ecuadoran social movements. He is the author of various books, newspaper articles, and research about the external debt, dolarization, petroleum exploitation, energy integration, and his latest interest: immigration. He is a member of the political bureau of Alianza Pais.
